Welcome to Chaumont River RV Park & Campground! New RV Park & Campground In 1000 Islands. Nestled in the woods on the Chaumont River, near Lake Ontario, in the Thousand Islands. Our location along the Chaumont River, just 1/2 mile from Lake Ontario and the majestic Thousand Islands, offers you a terrific opportunity to explore the Upstate NY region by boat from our dock or car from our rustic setting and beautiful riverbank location.
We have extensive long-term experience operating RV Parks and Marinas in the 1000 Islands area (including the nearby Bayside Marina in Clayton, NY). We take pride in our ability to provide a professionally run, relaxed, and fun environment for all to enjoy their stay with us at Chaumont River RV Park & Campground.

Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
RV Sites
- Check-in time: 1 PM.
- Checkout time: 12 PM.
Cabins/RV Rental/Tent Sites
- Check-in time: 3 PM.
- Check-out time: 11 AM.
- There will be a late Check-out fee of $25 assessed for check-outs between 11 am and 1 pm.
- Check-outs after 1 PM will be charged for a full day, but you must still vacate the site.
- At check-in, we retain the right to move your reservation to another similar site if required.
- All guests must register & sign our contract before occupying their designated RV site.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Camp agreement
- All campers must have a signed camp agreement on file at the office, or they will be asked to leave.
Quiet Time
- Quiet Time: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
- The first violation will result in a verbal warning.
- Any additional disturbances will result in your reservation being charged $50 per disturbance.
Right To Evict
- If you break or bend any rules, we have the right to evict you immediately, without a refund.
- If we determine, at our sole discretion, that your behavior or the behavior of your family or guest is disruptive or not in harmony with the park, we will immediately evict you without refund.
Deposits/Payment
- Seasonal campers must pay a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a site for next season by October 1.
Any monies owed under this contract will be considered a lien on the camper’s RV/camper/personal property.
Site Occupancy
- Maximum of 6 people per site unless authorized by management.
Electric
- Meters will be read and billed on the 15th of the month and due on the 1st of the following month; late charges apply.
- Bills will be emailed unless otherwise requested.
Decks, Patios
- Any add-on structure to seasonal sites must be pre-approved by the Department of Health, management and meet town zoning laws.
- No building of decks or patios, or any other structures, prior to all approvals.
- Construction before approval could result in the camper being asked to remove the structure.
- Management reserves the right to request/ require sites to be cleaned, painted, or unsightly items to be removed.
- If this work is not done within 7 days of notice, then management reserves the right to have the work done, and the owner will be billed for this work.
Campfires
- Must be in rings/pits, never leave fires unattended, adult must be present at all fires.
- Extinguish fires before turning in for the night or leaving the campground.
Firewood
- Available for sale at the office.
- Firewood from outside the park is required to come from sources within 50 miles of this site per NYS law.
- Never collect or cut trees or branches from trees within the park.
Children
- Parents are responsible for children’s actions, safety, and conduct at all times while in the campground.
- Do not leave children unattended.
- Children to be with parents at the campsite by 10 pm.
- Any person under 18 may not stay in a campground or campsite (day or night) without a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult.
- Children are not permitted to play on the docks.
- Children under 12 years old are required to wear an approved helmet.
Pets
- On leash at all times, may not be unattended, tied outside, must be under control by an adult.
- You must clean up whenever and wherever.
- You must have proper licenses and rabies vaccinations.
- Keep pets quiet at all times.
- No more than 3 pets.
Disruptive Behavior
- If police are called by management or another camper due to disruptive behavior, the camper or campers will be asked to leave immediately.
- No refunds in these circumstances.
Visitors
- Seasonal camper is responsible for informing and enforcing campground policies with any visitor, and is responsible for their behavior at all times.
- A large number of visitors must be pre-approved by management.
- Seasonal campers must be present when visitors are on site.
Golf Carts
- Must follow the speed limit.
- Operators shall be adults and must be driven on roads or approved paths only.
Tents
- Only 1 tent (for sleeping) is allowed per site.
- Tents must be removed when not in use to keep the grass alive.
- No large canopy tents without permission granted from the office.
Restrooms, Showers, and Laundry
- Report any issues with facilities to management immediately.
- Must be left clean after use.
- Do not wash dishes, clothes, or pets, etc, in restrooms/bath houses.
- Anyone dumping sewage in restrooms is subject to eviction immediately.
- Children 12 and under must be with an adult.
Trash
- The dumpster is located near the office.
- Bag all trash/garbage.
- Do not leave trash on site.
- Only (camping) garbage may be placed in the garbage.
- No appliances, TVs/ furniture, etc, in the dumpster.
- Cardboard boxes must be broken down and placed next to the dumpster
Boats
- Boat trailers must be kept in the designated trailer storage area.
- Management must approve of any boats to be kept on site, and a camper may be requested to leave the boat in the designated area.
Waterfront
- No lifeguard is provided.
- Adults must accompany children 12 and under.
- Swimming is at your own risk.
- Swimming/fishing off the dock is at your own risk.
Sewer
- Please use non-formaldehyde-based holding tank additives in the septic system.
- No dumping of gray or black water on the ground, please use the dump station as necessary.
- No washing cars, trucks boats on site.
Site Upkeep
- All sites must be kept in a neat and orderly manner, and management reserves the right to ask campers to do so.
- Campers must maintain the site, cut grass, weed wack, and rake leaves.
- Neglected sites will be charged $30.00 per hour to maintain.
Insurance/Theft
- We will not be responsible in the case of theft of rv or contents thereof, nor for any damages caused by natural causes (ie, tree falling), nor for any damages caused by any other reason.
- All activities at the campground are done at individuals' free will, and the campground will not be responsible for injuries to campers or guests, nor for loss of money/valuables of any kind.
Maintenance/Emergency
- Report any maintenance problem, emergency to the office immediately.
Water Usage
- No washing of cars or boats.
- Leaky hoses and water connections must be addressed immediately.
Removal
- Removal of RVs or other seasonal campers’ personal property due to non-payment or failure to abide by crrvp policies will be done at the camper's expense.
- Additional fees will be charged for transporting, cleaning of the site, removal of debris and garbage, disposal of property, use of tractors/trucks, and labor for all work done.
- CRRVP reserves the right to hold or have a storage facility hold RV/campers until the owed amount is paid, and storage will be an additional cost incurred.
Not permitted
- Firearms, BB or pellet guns, fireworks, speeding over 5 miles per hour, littering, permanent clothes lines, flags, banners, political signs, illegal drugs, underage drinking, loud parties, reckless behavior, disorderly conduct, intoxication, rock throwing, sling shots, alcohol off campsite, mopeds, 3 or 4 wheelers, mini bikes, skate boards and roller blades.
- No smoking in the office or bathrooms.
Docks
- Swimming is not allowed.
- Fishing is allowed at your own risk; please be courteous to the boats parked on the docks.
- Adults must accompany children 12 and under.
Campground Disclaimer and Liability
- Chaumont River RV Park & Campground reserves the right to change your site when necessary.
- Please take proper measures to protect your property.
- The licensee accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he/or she does hereby release the Chaumont River RV Park and Campground, Chaumont River Holding LLC, its agents, servants, employees, officers and their family members, and fellow campers of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury whatsoever, including any injury to his/her person arising out of his/or her use of its camping facilities.
- The licensee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the campground, Chaumont River Holding LLC, its agents, servants, officers and family members, fellow campers and employees, against claims resulting from loss of damage to property or injury to the person or any member of the family, or guest of the lessee, arising out of the use of the camping facilities, or sustained as a result of any accidents of the campground.
- All campers are advised that failure to comply with the CRRVP agreement and policies and rules will result in termination of the camper’s contract and discontinuation of camping privileges without refund, and the site will be available to rent.
- Violations of these policies are cause for eviction without refund.
- All policies and rules are subject to change without notice.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
